Your holiday in the Drôme

The Bois & Toilés campsite in the Drôme, on the banks of the Rhône, is surrounded by magnificent scenery of fruit orchards and renowned vineyards. Everything you need for a great vacation with family or friends, including markets, walks, sightseeing and wine tasting.

You can enjoy the scenery by hiking or, for the more sporty, by cycling along the renowned Viarhôna cycle path (linking Geneva to Sète), which runs alongside the campsite. This bike path starts from the shores of Lake Geneva to the beaches of the Mediterranean, following the Rhône River. This 815 km itinerary takes you from alpine panoramas to the beaches of Camargue, crossing the emblematic landscapes of the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône and those of southern Provence: perched villages, fields of lavender or olive trees, discoveries Gourmet.

You won’t want to miss a visit to the Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval in Hauterives (28 kilometers from the campsite) in a lush garden of around 1000 m2. Impressive construction, unique in the world, classified as a historical monument since 1969, it is the work of one man for 33 years of his life and could soon be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At least, that’s what the Drôme Ardèche community of communes wants.

Following on from the visit to the Palais du facteur cheval, 3 kilometers away, come and get some fresh air at the labyrinths of Hauterives, in a park with over 6,000 trees and 7 kilometers of trails, where you and your family can enjoy adventure areas, relaxation, games and exhibitions designed around 4 spiral-shaped labyrinths. This amusement park remains close to nature. You will find fun, educational games and all this in an ecological setting.
